Chipmunks
Did you know that chipmunks can climb trees?You didn't? Don't feel bad, neither did I until I saw it the other day.
We have a courageous chippie that lives nearby (under the sidewalk, I think) that always dashes around on our patio. The other day I happened to catch movement out of the corner of my eye so I looked out the window. Most movement outdoors is a person mowing the lawn or doing some other menial lawncare duty, but not today. It was chippie jumping from branch to branch in the small tree, looking for red berries to eat or tuck away for the upcoming winter.
He is so cute! His cheeks were full of other goodies he was hunting and gathering. It made me laugh. It reminded me of the hamsters I used to have a long time ago.
I hope chippie continues to have good fortune with his gathering and appears again in
my tree.
